Don’t ask me how I made the connection but somehow this photo reminds me of those tales I probably read as a 7 or 8 years old kid. Ahhh, and I still have to read Orientalism by Edward Said, who by the way would have hated me for stereotyping the orient in this photo, something he wrote against throughout his life.

ویسے پروفیسر سعید کو میں اس تصویر میں مشرق کا مخصوص رُخ پیش کرنے پر زیادہ پسند نہ آتا، کیونکہ وہ ساری عمر اسی کے تو خلاف لکھتے رہے۔
