The march…یلغار
Well it didnt go as was originally planned.
I was lying on the ground while Zulkifl was posing in front of the Xmas tree. Probably intrigued by the AF assist beam, he started walking towards the camera and so I had to go on Plan B and took as many shots as I could before he got too close to be focused at all.
مجھے یہ کہہ لینے دیجئے کہ یہ تصویر ویسے نہیں لی گئی جیسا کہ منصوبہ تھا۔
میں زمین پر لیٹا تھا جبکہ ذوالکفل میاں کرسمس درخت کے سامنے تصویر بنوانے کھڑے تھے۔ اسی دوران غالباً کیمرے کی فلیش سے ان میں تجسس کا مادہ پیدا ہوا اور وہ مجھ میری جانب چل پڑے۔ اس مختصر سے عرصے میں جتنی تصاویر لے سکتا تھا، یہ ان میں سے ایک ہے۔
The Coffee Club…کافی کلب
This is an interesting shot for me.
For one, notice me around the middle of the frame physically, made possible as I was standing on a staircase. Secondly, notice the very different color temperatures on the top (warm tungsten) and lower half (cool, fluorescent) and how these maintain the difference. Also, I am surprised not to see much of shadow vs highlight issue, for which low end digital cameras (like mine) are notorious for poor handling, especially when compared to film.
BTW, I deliberately waited for the cars on an otherwise deserted street, to zoom through the frame, to add a bit more color to the photo
یہ ٹصویر میرے لئے کئی پہلوؤں سے دلچسپ ہے۔
پہلی بات تو یہ کہ آپ غور کریں تو میں تصویر کے تقریباً درمیان میں ہوں عموداً، جیسا کہ عموماً ہوتا نہیں لیکن یہاں ممکن ہوا کیونکہ میں ایک زینے کے تقریباً درمیان میں کھڑا تھا۔
دوسری بات یہ کہ تصویر کے اوپری آدھے حصے میں زرد، گرم روشنی ہے جبکہ نچلے حصے میں ٹھنڈی نیلگوں روشنی اور دونوں کا ملاپ اچھا تاثر دے رہا ہے۔
میں تیز روشنی اور گھپ اندھیرے کی تفصیل دیکھ کر بھی حیران ہوں کیوناکہ عموماً سستے ڈیجیٹل کیمرے، جیسا کہ میرے پاس ہے، اس معاملے میں بہت برے نتائج دیتے ہیں (یعنی یا تو روشنی پھٹ جاتی ہے یا چھاؤں والاحصہ بالکل اندھیرا نظر آتا ہے)۔ فلم کیمرے اس لحاظ سے بہت بہتر ہوتے ہیں۔
برسبیل تذکرہ، تصویر میں کچھ رنگ لانے کیلئے میں نے کاروں کے آنے کا انتظار کیا، ورنہ عموماً سڑک سنسان تھی۔
